If the suction valve on an endoscope becomes blocked or sticking during a procedure, this may be due to inadvertent aspiration of large debris (vegetables or clip releasers)
In this situation, it’s not possible to safely disconnect the suction valve (risk of damaging the scope !!).
One trick is to flush the suction channel forward with water, simultaneously pressing the valve. Repeat the flushing two or three times until the debris is expelled.
