A 59-year-old patient underwent screening colonoscopy because she tested positive for FOBT. She had no medical history. She denied any GI symptoms except for gastroesophageal reflux disease. Colonoscopy revealed a round live parasite in the caecal fund. It was removed and retrieved with a net. Parasitological examination identified Ascaris lumbricoides.
