24-year-old male admitted to the Emergency Department for ingestion of sodium hypochlorite for anticonservative purposes. After excluding perforation of the digestive tract by means of CT, an EGDS was performed, highlighting hyperemia and edema of the mucosa from the hypopharynx to the duodenum, with linear ulcers covered by hematin at the gastric level.
Conclusive diagnosis: Caustic esophagitis (Zargar 2A). Caustic gastritis (Zargar 2A/2b)
