58-year-old woman undergoing screening colonoscopy for positivity to FOBT. Previous clinical history: hysterectomy for uterine fibromatosis. Endoscopic observation highlighted intermittent mucosal prolapse at the level of the sigmoid-rectal junction, probably at the level of the adherent fold. Histological examination confirmed the clinical suspicion of chronic non-specific inflammation of the mucosa
