Glanzmann's thrombasthenia (ORPHA:849 ICD-10: D69.1 ICD-11: 3B62.0Y) is a bleeding syndrome characterized by spontaneous mucocutaneous bleeding and an exaggerated response to trauma due to constitutional thrombocytopathy (normal platelet count on complete blood count). In this patient with chronic anemia and recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding, we observed another episode of melena without identification of the bleeding source by upper and lower endoscopy. Video capsule endoscopy (VCE) revealed multiple bleeding points in the small intestine.
