A 57-year-old patient came to the outpatient clinic with acute cholecystitis. Physical examination revealed a non-painful abdominal mass. The ultrasound scan showed a slightly hyperechoic homogeneous well-defined lesion in the epigastric region. CT scan described a 16.3 x 7.5 cm mass with the same density as subcutaneous fat, allowing the diagnosis of mesenteric lipoma. The lesion did not grow and the patient remained asymptomatic during follow-up, which was carried out yearly by ultrasound scan.
